Steve is the CEO of Action Pact Development.  Prior to this he served as the President and CEO of Meadowlark Hills Retirement Community, and during his 17 years there was the driving force behind their transformation into the nation’s premier Household Model campus.

Steve is an international leader in the creation of the Household Model and provides consulting and education to providers on the model and its application. He is a sought after keynote speaker and workshop presenter on leadership and transformation in long-term care. Participants from over 40 states and 10 foreign countries have utilized his experience to further deepen their culture change journeys. He is the only known development and start-up consultant within the resident-directed framework who has also lived as an operator, developer and educator.

Steve serves on the advisory board of Kansas State University ’s Center on Aging, where he is also a faculty member. He is a board member of the Association of Households International, Fort Hays State University Foundation, and the Manhattan Community Foundation.

Martin is CFO of Action Pact Development, LLC. Prior to forming Action Pact Development, LLC, Martin worked as a Healthcare Feasibility Consultant for BDO Seidman, LLP and LarsonAllen, LLP. While at those firms, he worked on examinations of financial forecasts that led to financings cumulatively valued at over $1 billion. Preceding his work as a consultant, Martin served as a Director at Formation Capital, an organization that owned over 100 nursing homes.

In addition to his consulting and development work, Martin serves as the treasurer of the Association of Households International, Inc., a non-profit association dedicated to providing educational training programs and the promotion of the Household Model.

Since graduating from Saint Louis University, Martin has spent nearly his entire career in the senior living industry and is dedicated to the goal of creating home for elders.
