Conflict: Fuel of Change
Learn how to recognize, embrace and manage conflict to grow and catalyze positive change in your teams.
This work session will address conflict as the important fuel for change. While we often wish conflict would go away, that’s usually because conflict scares us. This one-day course will discuss the brilliance of embracing conflict. Individuals will be encouraged to begin a personal journey of learning the skills of gentle conflict provocation as well as conflict management and conflict resolution. Teams will be strengthened by respecting conflict and being aware of team members’ strengths and ‘hot buttons.’ Examples will be provided from family life as well as from the workplace. The desired outcome of the instructor is that the participants will recognize the importance of growing conflict skills in culture changing organizations. Why? So that residents can continue to grow and live a good life, filled with the delights and pleasures of normal conflict; and that employees can learn skills that not only make their care environments hum with new energy, but that they can take home and nurture happiness through conflict in their families as well!
